Who We Are
Community Lattice is a woman-owned and -operated business founded on a mission to respond to the real-time and real-world needs of disadvantaged communities through land revitalization and brownfields redevelopment. Our multidisciplinary team of environmental experts, planners, data scientists, and community organizers operates at the nexus of digital innovation, community development, and environmental health. We advise local governments, developers, and community-based organizations to build and execute data-driven programs and transformative projects that lead to positive economic, social, and environmental outcomes.
Our mission is to educate, empower, and equip communities to achieve their economic, social, and environmental goals by successfully redeveloping of underutilized and contaminated properties.
Every property is a brownfield until proven “not guilty”.
Our Approach
At Community Lattice, we take an equitable and inclusive approach to community development consulting that leverages land revitalization as a catalyst for community wealth building and climate resilience.
All our work is grounded in the Principles of Environmental Justice, but particularly principles 7 and 12:
7.) Environmental Justice demands the right to participate as equal partners at every level of decision-making, including needs assessment, planning, implementation, enforcement, and evaluation.
12.) Environmental Justice affirms the need for urban and rural ecological policies to clean up and rebuild our cities and rural areas in balance with nature, honoring the cultural integrity of all our communities, and provided fair access for all to the full range of resources.
The Community Lattice team works closely with local governments and community leaders to revitalize land and properties, overcoming environmental risk and liability to create valuable assets that benefit residents and contribute to the overall livability and resilience of communities.
